Measuring REST by @sallamar http://t.co/3QF1Dhd Good to see a little pragmatism for once :) #apidesign

Cheeky beginning to your presentation :-) I really like the pragmatism message aka “judicious tradeoffs”

Nice presentation. I like the back to intentional architecture approach, after all, Roy himself builds up REST from a null set of constraints based on desired properties for an Ultra Large Network System.

Ironically, I found this presentation from a link on JJ’s recent InfoQ post.

“Roy himself builds up REST from a null set of constraints based on desired properties for an Ultra Large Network System.”

Correct. But ironically, most people refer to his 2008 blog post on how REST apps MUST look like without trying to derive it for themselves based on their own desired qualities.

I too have once made a try (incomplete, and not very successful if looking at the numbers of visitors…) to “classify” REST, not from the point “how much REST it is” but from the point of “scenarios” where it can be applied, and what constraints can be relaxed in each scenario.
